This article introduces the Blockz interface and explains what each area does and how to navigate between them.
The left sidebar
The left sidebar is your block template library. It shows all templates in the current repository, grouped by category.
Use the search bar at the top to find a template by name
Click '+' to create a new block template
Click any template to open it in the main canvas
At the bottom of the sidebar, you will find 'Show Logs', 'MOS', and access to 'Settings'.
The main canvas
The main canvas is where you view and edit block templates.
In view mode, the canvas shows the template's fields and their current values.
In edit mode (shown by the 'Editing' badge in the header), drag handles appear on every field and the '+ Add Field' button becomes available at the bottom of the canvas.
Click 'Previews' at the bottom-right to open the live device preview panel below the canvas. See Live device preview for block templates for more on setting up previews.
The header bar
When editing a template, the header bar gives you quick access to the template's identity settings:
Icon - click to choose from the icon library, or select No Icon
Name - click to rename the template (keep names under ~20 characters)
Color - click to choose a color from the swatch
Category - click to assign the template to a category
'···' menu - exit edit mode, duplicate, copy to other repositories, or delete the template
The Settings menu
Click 'Settings' at the bottom of the left sidebar to open the Settings panel, which includes:
Media Integrations - connect Blockz to your media libraries
Devices - add and configure automation devices (for example, Singular.Live) for live previews
Api Keys - create and manage API keys for repository access
Toggle Dark Mode - switch between dark and light themes
Log Out - sign out of your account
Switching repositories
Click the repository name at the top-left of the header to open the switcher. It lists your organization's groups and the repositories you have access to. Select one to switch to it.
