When you update a block template in Blockz, connected Cuez Rundown sessions reflect the change immediately. Producers do not need to refresh.
How it works
Blockz and Cuez Rundown stay in sync automatically. After you save a change to a template, every connected Cuez Rundown session using that template updates on its own.
From a producer’s perspective, the change just appears. For example, a renamed field shows its new label, a new required field prompts them to fill it in, and updated label options become available.
What this means for you as a template admin
Changes are live immediately. There is no staging or preview step. Connected producer sessions receive changes as you edit, without waiting for you to exit edit mode.
This is useful for fixing typos or adding options on the fly. This also means that structural changes affect producers currently viewing that block, such as adding a required field or removing an existing one.
Best practice: make structural changes during low-traffic windows, not during a live show.
What to check before editing a live template
Is this template in active use in a live episode right now?
Will adding a required field cause problems for producers mid-broadcast?
