A media field in a block template allows users to attach a clip, graphic, still image, or audio file to a block in Cuez Rundown. This article explains how to add a media field to a template and how to interact with it.
Adding a media field to a template
Open the template in the Blockz editor (must be in 'Editing' mode)
Click '+ Add Field' at the bottom of the canvas
Select 'Media' (Videos, images, and audio)
Give the field a name, for example: VT/clip, Graphic, or Studio still
Set whether the field is 'Required'
Optionally, choose a 'Media integration' for the field
How media fields display
Media fields are displayed in a dedicated panel on the right of the canvas, not in the same field grid as text and label fields.
How producers add media
When a producer opens the block in a Cuez Rundown episode and clicks the media field, the 'Add media to block' dialog opens.
A 'Current library' dropdown lets them choose where to get the media from:
Direct Upload: Upload to Cuez - drag and drop a file, or click ‘Select file’ to browse their computer
Media Libraries: any connected library for the organization - browse and select an existing item
Prerequisite: media library configuration
For a media library to appear as an option in the ‘Current library’ dropdown, it must be set up and connected in Cuez Admin by an organization owner. Without this, only ‘Upload to Cuez’ (direct upload) is available.
See Setting up media libraries in the Cuez Admin Help Center.
