In Cuez Rundown, every block can be collapsed to a single row. 'View in Abstract' controls which fields stay visible in that row, giving producers an at-a-glance summary without opening the block.
Why it matters
In a busy rundown with dozens of blocks, producers need to scan content quickly. Without any fields set to 'View in Abstract', a collapsed block shows only its name. When you choose the right fields, producers can check clip titles, shot types, and media at a glance, without expanding every block.
Displaying fields when a block is collapsed
Open the template in Blockz in Editing mode.
Click the six-dot handle next to the field.
Select 'View in Abstract'. A checkmark shows it is on.
Repeat for each field you want visible. Fields appear in the collapsed row in the order you select 'View in Abstract'. For example, the first field you select is displayed first, followed by the next one. Select the fields in the order you want your team to read them.
To hide a field again, select 'View in Abstract' a second time.
Any field can be shown on the collapsed block in Cuez Rundown. Media fields always appear there automatically.
Fields with conditions only appear in the collapsed row once their condition is met. See Conditional field visibility for details.
Where these fields appear in Cuez Rundown
Script view: in the collapsed block row
Rundown view: in the block's row in the rundown table
See How do I add content to create an Episode? for how producers work with blocks in the script view.
Tips for choosing fields
Choose fields whose values differ between blocks. The block name is already visible, so repeating it adds no value.
Prioritize fields that let a producer confirm the right content is in the right block: clip title, guest name, shot type, graphic template.
Keep the row short. Showing too many fields makes it harder to read.
See Block template field types for what each field type does.
