The live device preview lets you see how a block will look on your broadcast device in real time, as you fill in its fields in the Blockz template editor.
See Creating a block template for more on building a template.
What it looks like
When a block template has a preview configured, a live render of the block appears in the 'Previews' panel and updates as you change field values.
Opening the Previews panel
Click 'Previews' at the bottom-right of the screen. The panel slides up from the bottom. To add your first preview, click '+ Create preview'.
Connecting a device
Before you can use live previews, you need a connected device:
Go to 'Settings', then 'Devices'
'Manage Devices' opens, then click '+ Add Device'.
Select the device type, for example, Singular.
Enter a 'Title', the 'Api Endpoint', and the 'Token' for the device.
Setting up a preview
In the 'Previews' panel, select a 'Device'.
Select a 'Composition', which is the template or scene on the device to preview.
Each composition lists its own fields, for example, Image and Title. Use 'Select field' to map each one to the block field that should fill it.
Use the play and stop icons below the preview to run or stop it.
Multiple previews per template
A template can have more than one preview. Click '+' next to the preview name to add another, or 'Delete preview' to remove one.
Each preview has its own 'Conditions' to control when it is shown.
See Conditional field visibility for more on conditions.
